- Math Drawing lines to the nearest inch. Cursive L and Q.
- Spelling Practice spelling test. Phonics The three sounds of “-ed” (wanted, looked, played).
- Bible Movie, “The Not So Golden Calf.”
Thursday 10/1
- Math Math Test 6. The lesson: drawing lines to the nearest half inch, and the 10 subtraction family.
- Reading AR test on Sam the Minuteman. Homework: Quests for Adventure pages 24 to 27.
- Phonics “wh” as in whale and who, “tch” as in patch. Cursive Review (the week’s list says cursive is tested today).
Friday 10/2
- Tests Spelling test (List 7), Phonics / Language Test 7, and Writing Test 5.
- Bible A Ten Commandments project. List 8 comes home (page 95).
- Specials Art (watercolor), library (fiction and nonfiction, two books), music (Christmas program songs from memory), PE, STEM (computer lab) and Spanish (colors, the alphabet, days of the week).
🔁 A little each ride, all week
Math facts in every ride, and “how many inches in a foot?” before Thursday’s test. Spelling words every morning (three or four each ride). Phonics sounds every afternoon: that day’s new sound, plus one from earlier in the week. The Ten Commandments every morning, for Friday’s project.
